Where Can You Acquire A Cheap Laptop

This popularity of the laptop computer has done one thing; the advances in technology have done another. Today it is quite easy to find a cheap laptop computer because of these two factors together.

First, because of the popularity of the laptop computer, the prices have gone way down for the mid range to basic technology units. Second, the technological advances are so fast, the laptop you bought today, is out of date and lacking in current technology in 6 months. This has caused a glut on the used laptop market as people continue to buy new technology.

There are ways to take advantage of these two factors and be able to find a laptop computer for less than you thought was possible.

First of all, in order to find a laptop at a discounted price, realize that it is absolutely nuts to buy the latest technology at the retail price. You will be able to find the previous model of the new release for at least 30% below the price that was asked before the new model came out. Do you really need the new gizmo that is in the new model, is it that important? Probably not.

The second thing you can do to buy a laptop at a very discounted price is to look at a refurbished or a used model laptop. Within the last 15 months, I have purchased 2 units with all the technology I will ever need and did not pay over $250. 00 for them each with tax. I have not had one problem with either one.

You can find the used units in many different places. The free classified ads on line are a good place to look. My favorite place is the little computer repair shops. You can find a great deal there. The owner wants to make sure you are happy because in today's economy, he needs that good word of mouth advertising to stay in business. You can be assured the unit will be in good shape.

The small computer repair shops are also a great place to find a refurbished laptop. You will be able to get a very well equipped model for under $300. 00. When I think about it, you are getting a computer with all new working parts for less than half of the original price and it is all new. I even got a one year guarantee on the one from the shop.

You are welcome to go and spend upwards of $500. 00 any where you would like to. I think I will stick with paying no more than half that price.
