There will also be external speakers, some kind of a disk drive, a motherboard, memory, video and audio cards, and maybe even a built in microphone and webcam.
What singles out laptops from desktops is their portability. A desktop has a heavy tower, a heavier monitor, and a separate keyboard and mouse.
Laptops also don't need to be plugged in to work. They have a battery that should last up to five hours with proper care. Then, the next time you are near an outlet, you can not only work on your laptop but also charge it up. Buying a computer these days should automatically translate to buying a laptop computer.
